The Jobs Board is for paid freelance grant assessor roles in the UK only.

Funders can use the network to access additional assessment capacity for example; •   to add more diversity and experience to your assessment team • during peak periods, specialist rounds, or short or long term programmes. •   when you have a member of staff going on leave and need additional cover •   you want to relieve pressure/workload on your existing grants team •   to help manage an oversubscribed fund •   to ensure you meet deadlines •   to help reduce waiting times for decisions for applicants

​​You can submit opportunities for: •    Eligibility checking •    Full written assessments against criteria •    Scoring and shortlisting •    Panel participation or moderation •    Fixed term or project based assessment work   Both small and large programmes are welcome.

The Grant Assessors Network is a unique and targeted community, and the only one of its kind in the UK. It  includes:  ​ • Assessors with direct experience of reviewing and scoring grant applications • Professionals with many years’ experience working in the charity and voluntary sector • A mix of expertise and lived experience that supports fair, informed, and proportionate assessment • Freelance professionals who are ready and available to take on assessment work​ We have professionals with a wide range of experience in assessing including for community Foundations, corporate foundations, large national funders, place based grantmakers and more. ​​​​

To ensure consistency, when you post a role we request;   •    A brief description of the programme and funding themes •    The type of assessment required •    Expected time commitment and key dates •    Clear pay information for transparency •    How assessors should express interest • Your contact details and organisation logo   Providing this information upfront helps assessors to understand whether they are a good fit and reduces unnecessary follow up. • It goes through a light touch manual check for clarity • It is then shared with the grant assessor network and displayed on a dedicated page on this site. This page is only visible to the network to ensure that roles are viewed by a relevant, professional audience rather than appearing on an open job board. • Once your role is posted, you will receive confirmation that it is live and available to assessors. • We are happy to provide a preview of your post if required • Assessors apply to funders directly, you specify how in your posting Please note we don't shortlist, appoint, or manage assessors on your behalf.

• We don't act as a recruitment agency • We don't manage contracts or payments • We don't guarantee assessor availability • We don't take commission or recruitment fees All contractual arrangements remain directly between the funder and the assessor.
